Red Bull added another win as Max Verstappen won the first Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The Dutch driver won his 18th Grand Prix of 2023 after winning from second place in F1’s visit to the Nevada city since the early 1980s, after getting the front in an eventual race.

The Saturday night round in Sin City saw Verstappen earn a five second time penalty for forcing Charles Leclerc off track on lap one, get overtaken by Leclerc just before pitting and suffered damage from a collision with the Mercedes of George Russell.

But following a safety car for debris caused by his collision with the British driver, Verstappen was able to fight back with crucial overtakes on Perez and Leclerc helping him to win the race.

Meanwhile, team mate Sergio Perez finished third in a strong recovery from 11th on the grid and sustaining damage following an early collision with Valtteri Bottas.

The result mathematically confirmed the Mexican will finish second in the championship, earning Red Bull their first ever one-two finish in the Drivers Championship, although Perez lost a position on the final lap to Charles Leclerc to deny Red Bull a first one-two in a race since the Italian Grand Prix in early September.
