Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month for January 2024.
The 26-year-old achieved recognition for scoring 3 goals in 2 games in January, and is one of two Luton figures to be nominated for the January monthly prizes with manager Rob Edwards having also received a Manager of the Month nomination.
The award is fan nominated, with a public vote and expert analysis to announce a winner later this week.
Adebayo achieved recognition for his hat-trick against Brighton & Hove Albion, which was both his and Luton’s first in the Premier League and helped Luton to a 4-0 win over the Seagulls at Kenilworth Road at the end of the month.
Other players nominated are Liverpool duo Conor Bradley and Diogo Jota, Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne, Arsenal defender Gabriel and Spurs’ Brazilian international Richarlison.
Adebayo is the second Luton player to receive a Player of the Month nomination this season, with goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski having been nominated for the award back in November.
So far this season, the Player of the Month awards have been won by James Maddison, Son Heung-Min, Mo Salah, Harry Maguire and Dominic Solanke.
