Luton saw striker James Collins score and then get sent off as they drew 1-1 at Cambridge United.
In one of only 2 League Two matches not postponed due to the weather, the visitors took the lead as Collins tucked in the rebound after Danny Hylton was initially denied.
The strike came just after the half hour mark of proceedings at the Abbey Stadium, and moments after Luton had seen Olly Lee come close.
It had looked like being enough, but momentum tipped away when two quickfire bookings saw Collins dismissed, with the second coming for dissent.
Substitute Jabo Ibehre duly equalised for the home side within six minutes, as the striker headed a cross past Marek Stech.
The midtable hosts came closer to a decisive goal after that, but couldn’t force the ball over the line at a scramble and the points were shared.
The point means Luton now sit four points clear of 2nd placed Accrington Stanley, and 8 points clear of 4th placed Notts County with 11 games of the season remaining.
